Dane Tilghman has established himself as one of the premier painters of African American Art. He has exhibited his works throughout the United States at art festivals, galleries, trade shows, and sports arenas where he has received numerous awards.

His work has been exhibited at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. He has exhibited in multiple one-man shows at Howard University, West Chester University, University of Pennsylvania, Penn State, and the Butler Institute of Fine Art.

One of his baseball images has been incorporated into the Baseball Hall of fame Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y., and he was commissioned to do a mural for Turner Stadium in Atlanta.
